I offer border design and planting plans. When I joined the garden design world I quickly noticed that many existing design firms only offer entire garden remodels. Although these designs are often stunning, they are not needed by or accessible to everyone. I have met many people who are happy with the layout and structure of their garden, but need extra help with which plants to choose to uplift and complete their space. So I started designing with the intention to make garden designs more accessible to a wider range of people.

Perhaps you have a lovely seating area, but the borders in your garden are a bit uninspiring.
Perhaps you have had landscaping done and are not sure where to start with planting.
Perhaps you keep buying beautiful plants from the garden centre, only for them to have vanished by the following year.

The borders are often overlooked in a garden design, but can entirely transform and invigorate your space. I create bespoke planting plans that are reflective of your style, tastes and intentions for the gardens, while also using my plant knowledge to ensure the plants are suited to your garden so that they can survive and thrive. My focus is on making sure your garden works for you, and is a space you want to spend time in.
Please note - I do not offer landscaping advice, as this is simply not where my training is based. I would be frustrated if a landscaper offered to do planting design, so likewise I do not suggest that I have the knowledge to be advising on materials or construction techniques! I can suggest placement of beds or paths etc. but my area is primarily planting.

I offer a range of design packages, from a planting palette to full design, plant sourcing and installation.

"The possession of a quantity of plants, however good the plants may be themselves and however ample their number, does not make a garden; it only makes a collection. Having got the plants, the great thing is to use them with careful selection and definite intention."
